Blog Post: Win a chance to talk about leadership with Stephen Covey on May 7!
posted Wednesday, April 30, 2008 7:01 PM
As I’ve said many times on this blog, the ASU Alumni Association is (or should be!) your Sun Devil source for career connections and advice. Now, we’re pleased to provide our members access to a unique event featuring productivity and leadership guru Stephen Covey!
If you join the Alumni Association today (using the special campaign code CAREER), you’ll be entered into a drawing* for 25 VIP tickets to hear a presentation by Covey, author of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” and other best-selling books, at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort on May 7. Through an emcee-styled presentation, Covey will answer questions about making leadership a competitive advantage, creating a compelling purpose, managing workers from different generations in the workplace, and will share some lessons learned from a senior leader. This will be an extremely exclusive gathering, as these tickets are not on sale anywhere! Tickets to similar events featuring Dr. Covey have cost as much as $400. Memberships in the Alumni Association are $45/annual, $500/life, and include a host of benefits, such as participation in Sun Devil Destinations, the association’s travel program and a 10 percent discount at all ASU bookstores. We’ve also recently added free unlimited career advising sessions as a member benefit, enhanced our career Web section, and created the Career Advisor Network for graduates to connect with other Sun Devils on career-related topics. This is a unique opportunity to meet and learn from one of America’s most admired productivity experts! Join today! *Winners of the drawing will be notified by e-mail or phone by May 5.
