Blog Post: Machine Shops Needed!!!

Arizona Tooling and Machining Association has started a successful high school internship program that combines classroom training with hands-on experience in local machine shops across the valley for students interested in the manufacturing industry.  This program proved to attract many students, which most have been placed and have started a summer internship. 

With the overwhelming participation, there are still 8 students that need to be placed in a summer internship with a local machine shop before the 4th of July to continue in the program.  These students are located all across the valley and are very excited about a possible internship in a machine shop to learn about the industry.  As a part of the program, these students have workers comp insurance covered along with more incentives that will help employers place them in summer internships.
