Take a trip with the Beatles in their Yellow Submarine to the depths of the ocean and discover an amazing lesson in adaptability. We are now submerged eight thousand feet below the surface on the ocean floor. No - I'm not talking about our current experiences in the stock / credit or the job markets. Though, we could draw some comparisons.

At this depth sight is useless and the blood runs cold in freezing waters. We are close to vents releasing heat in excess of 570 degrees from the earth's core. Proteins and DNA simply fall apart and enzymes melt away. (I felt like that...let's see.... maybe after the first bail out vote failed this week!)

I am talking about learning from one of the smallest creatures on earth. Oceanographic scientists have discovered colonies of living organisms not only surviving but thriving and reproducing under these conditions. Why? At some point in their existence - as conditions changed - they had to change too! Now that is a lesson in adaptability that gives me hope!

At CWT* we've learned that wither you are a worker or an employer Change is Constant. We change constantly and so does the world around us. Become adaptable, keep your skills current and seek out opportunities to learn new skills. The result is adaptability!
