Blog Post: Target and Plan of Action
posted Thursday, January 8, 2009
Open ended tasks can progress painfully slow and chaotically. You might not always stay on target or within your plan, but you can be assured of having a much more efficient search if you have an aim and a plan in place.
Your target can be a date you want to be employed by, a specific position you want, a company you want to work for, or even a location that you prefer. It can even be a combination of all of those items. If you are clear about what needs to happen, all other steps of planning should fall in place to support that target. Your plan of action is a loose list of what it is you need to do in order to accomplish your target. Make your plan flexible so you can include new opportunities and options (like networking events, training opportunities, job fairs). Community Comments
