Blog Post: Setting a Schedule and Sticking to It!
posted Friday, January 9, 2009
You have a task you know won't take you long and you are completely confident that you can do it well, but it somehow you just haven't finished it!
Here is an experiment: schedule a time to finish the task. Make it a clear amount of realistic time and be inflexible with it. A task without a time to do it in – has a hard chance of being done. If you have success with scheduling once or twice, it may become a great habit for you in your search as well as the rest of your career. Come up with a timeline for your search, assign specific amounts of time for each part of the search and see what works for you. If a particular time of day and length of time is more productive for you to search for and apply to jobs – then make a note and stick with it. Community Comments
