Blog Post: How to be Generous When Your paycheck Isn't
posted Wednesday, March 18, 2009 1:47 PM
People enjoy giving to others- it makes them feel good to help someone else. But often when we think of giving back we think in terms of money...donating to a good cause or buying a fundraiser item. Don't forget there are other ways to give back that not only help your community but also your resume! You might try being a mentor or volunteering with a non-profit organization. By doing this you may help someone develop their professional skill set or help your community achieve a specific goal. Not only are you giving back, but you are able to help without straining your checkbook, and listing that experience on your resume is an added bonus!
