PROJECT ENGINEER/New Business
Will serve as project engineer in the Advanced Technologies Group as part of the new business “capture” team to grow and expand new and existing product lines.
Responsibilities include all technical aspects of advanced programs including:
Conceptual design

TEST ENGINEER
The Test Engineer is to direct a team in conducting ballistic and environmental tests on production and development products.
ESSESNTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates with product line managers and project engineers to perform ballistic and environmental tests on company products (gas generator, rocket motors, and weapons systems).
Provides Technician Supervisor and Photographer with written instructions for instrumentation and test set up.
Verifies correct instrumentation and test set up prior to conducting test and oversees testing.
Maintains product test records for each area of responsibility.
Analyzes test results for comparison to test specifications, prepares technical reports and provides product line managers with program test status.
Directs the fabrication of test fixtures and control equipment.

Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, and machines from blue-prints. Requires proven machinist skills, including logical thinking, mechanically inclined, neat, organized, and productive.
Ideal candidate requires minimal supervision, is a self-starter and can communicate and work well with lead-person, peers, and engineers in a 4-person shop.
Requires knowledge and experience with set-up and production of parts and tooling on manual mills, manual lathes, perform single point threading on lathe.

Serve as the principal project engineer responsible for technical aspects of specific gas generator, rocket motor, or free-flight projectile programs at Nammo Talley.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide engineering technical lead for multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians and other support personnel.
Liaison with program management, design engineers, analytical engineers, manufacturing, production planning, quality, test and procurement functional departments, both at Nammo Talley and suppliers to insure technical compliance of system design, subsystems and components with requirements.
Perform preliminary and detailed design of propulsion systems, subsystems and components including propellant grain sizing, pressure vessel sizing, insulator sizing, nozzle and igniter design, ordnance and Ignited Safety Device selection.
Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
Prepare technical reports in support of contract requirements.
Prepare and present program technical information to Nammo Talley customers and suppliers at program reviews.
Aid in response to customer inquiry, assist in defining requirements, and assure design and test program meet the requirements of customer/government specifications.

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
This position will be working with Energetic Materials – DOD Products, performing in process and final inspections of parts and assemblies to assure visual, dimensional, and electrical compliance to specifications or procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform inspections using a variety of inspection tools and fixtures (Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges, and Scales etc).
Visually inspects parts/assemblies for surface irregularities or improperly assembled or damaged components.
Also performs resistance and continuity electrical inspections using a Valhalla circuit tester or Megger insulation tester.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills to document nonconformance’s found during inspections.
