Many organizations such as AzSHRM, VSHRA, EVHRA, PMI and Toastmasters are supporting JA You’re Hired! program, an important workforce development initiative for high school students through Junior Achievement.

There is still time to get involved! Please review the opportunities below to determine the best fit for your interests and availability. All roles require an orientation, listed under the Time Requirement for that position.

BUSINESS NETWORKER
Help students develop and practice their networking skills during a competitive yet friendly networking session.  During the morning Orientation, we will review your role, the rules of the networking simulation and discuss best practices when working with young people.

Time Requirements:  
4/29     7:00 AM—8:00 AM     Tempe Center for the Arts
4/29     8:00 AM—9:30 AM     Tempe Center for the Arts               
Experience Required:  Three years or more of business experience.


LEADERSHIP VOLUNTEER
Engage in a role-playing exercise where students will learn about different leadership styles while competing to sell products to a limited number of buyers in the room. During the orientation on 4/21, we’ll assign your role and engage in a simulation of this activity.

Time Requirements:      
4/21        3:30 PM—5:00 PM    JA offices in Tempe
4/29        12:00 PM—2:30 PM  Tempe Center for the Arts
Experience Required:  Three years or more of business experience.


EVENT VOLUNTEER
Whether helping at registration or facilitating an activity, event volunteers are crucial to our success.  This role is perfect for those flexible individuals interested in playing an active role in making this program possible!

Time Requirements:      
4/21        3:30 PM—5:00 PM    JA offices in Tempe
4/29        6:00 AM—12:30 PM  Tempe Center for the Arts

Experience Required:  College students or business professionals
