Blog Post: Applying with Devereux Arizona

Have you ever wondered what exactly happens to your online application once you hit send?  Let me fill you in on Devereux Arizona's application process so you know what to expect!

Once you apply directly on our website (https://careers.devereux.org) for your position(s) of interest, you will receive an email confirmation that we've received your information.  Your application will then be reviewed to make sure you meet the position requirements and possess the specific skill set we're looking for. 

If you do, it will be sent to the Hiring Manager for review.  Within a week of receiving your application, the Hiring Manager or Human Resources will contact you to conduct a phone-screen to determine whether an interview will be scheduled.  If you're scheduled for an interview, you'll meet with the Hiring Manager and another Devereux AZ staff (usually 45-60mins).  Also, time permitting, staff will give you a tour of the facility.  After the interview, if the Hiring Manager recommends you for hire, Human Resources will conduct 3 professional reference checks.  If all references are positive, Human Resources will contact you with a job offer. 

What if I don't hear from anyone?

If your application was received, it will be reviewed by Human Resources.  However, if you aren't contacted, it has been determined that you either don't meet the job requirements or we've decided to continue recruiting for someone with a more specific skill set.  In this case, your application will remain on file to be considered for any future openings.  You are able to apply for all other open positions at this time.  Also, you can sign up on our website to receive email notifications if a specific position opens up in the future!
