Michael Cady - Over 20 years ago, Michael crossed paths with a Timex Sinclair computer, decided it was love at first byte, and has been living and breathing technology almost ever since. Today, he is the President of a local computer company, helped to found a PC-recycling charity (kidcomputers.org), and is knowledgeable about all facets of computing. Michael is also the show's resident trouble-maker.
Nick Coons - Any computer show worth its weight in floppies needs a die-hard, fingers-to-the-keyboard geek, and Nick is PC Chat's Chairman of the Circuit Board. Nick began programming when he was eight years old and his passion for all aspects of computing has grown through the years. Nick's advanced networking and programming skills include DOS, Windows, Linux, and Unix. Whatever it is, Nick knows it and puts it to good use as CEO (with Michael) of the aforementioned computer company. Computing is such an integral part of his life, he even met a girl on the Internet who has since become his wife!
Richard Sherman - "Mr. Modem" began his computing career with a dual-floppy Zenith computer and monochrome monitor that emitted more radiation than Three Mile Island on a bad day. To this day, Mr. Modem makes a lovely night light. From that humble start in 1981, Mr. Modem began writing about computers and the Internet and today writes the nationally syndicated "Ask Mr. Modem" column, writes for several magazines including Reader's Digest, hosts the "Mr. Modem Minute" produced by FOX-TV, is an eight-time author, winner of the "Computer Book of the Year" award for his "Mr. Modem's Internet Guide for Seniors," and as a technological humorist, is a popular speaker. Mr. Modem publishes the weekly "Ask Mr. Modem" newsletter that, according to ABC personality Paul Harvey, "takes the gobbledygook out of computers." Mr. Modem is married to Mrs. Modem, a psychiatrist (which explains a lot) and they have three furry, feline daughters.
Together, Michael, Nick and Mr. Modem bring to listeners world-wide more than 50 years of computer expertise. PC Chat, which made its debut in August 2001, exists to help anyone who uses a computer, from first-time users to savvy surfers, from teenagers to seniors.
