The giant sequoia tree is the largest and oldest living thing on the planet, but the sequoia seed is only about one sixth the size of a thumbnail. At Sequoia Charter School, we believe our students have as much potential for growth as the giant sequoia. Our schools were founded by parents who wanted a school with core values of respect and academic achievement for their children. We work each day toward those ideals and genuinely care about our students. The Sequoia Charter School is dedicated to provide K thru 12 students of all backgrounds with a quality educational experience filled with choice and focused on quality of life. Our schools prepare students for entrance to a rigorous University or Conservatory program after graduation.
Sequoia Charter School Districit is owned and operated by Choice Education and Develpoment Corporation. Within the Charter District are many schools, including: Arizona Conservatory for Arts and Academics is a public charter arts school serving grades six through twelve. Arizona Conservatory is dedicated to providing students who demonstrate desire, interest, and talent in the arts with the choice to pursue a rigorous and innovative curriculum fostering a balance between fine arts and a dynamic academic program of student centered instruction in a college preparatory setting. Sequoia Village School is committed to assisting families in providing each child the opportunity to develop Competence, Character, and Confidence. The mission of Sequoia Schools is to assist families by using an effective blend of time-tested teaching techniques and technology tools to prepare young people to become self-sufficient, lifelong learners who reach their highest level of achievement and become responsible contributors to society. At Sequoia School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, we believe our communication environment has greatly enhanced our students' academic performances. Our students also benefit from exposure to the large number of Deaf or hard of hearing adult role models on our campus. We provide a bi-lingual, bi-cultural education to D/deaf and hard of hearing children. We prepare our students to be successful in the hearing world and the Deaf world. Our goal at Learning Crossroads Basic Academy is to provide every child with a solid foundation in the basic skills and the moral education to allow each child to achieve academic and social success in his/her future. At the Thunderbird Center students enjoy individualized instruction from onsite and online instructors, free tuition, transferable credits as well as a wide choice of electives including, but not limited to, Piano, Guitar, Percussion, Voice, Dance, Drama, Visual Arts, American Sign Language, Driver's Education and community college courses.
