Cartwright School District is located in west Phoenix, approximately ten miles from downtown and thirteen miles from Sky Harbor Airport.  Our District is conveniently located near freeways, making it easily accessible from all partw of the Valley.  We are a pre-K-8th grade urban district serving over 20,000 cultural-diverse students.

We are seeking the highest qualified, best trained teachers to join our team of outstanding professional educators. Teachers form the very heart of our school district; therefore, the selection of quality personnel is one of our top priorities.

The Cartwright District employs the best qualified teachers and desires to ensure that each individual's instructional and leadership skills are maintained and enhanced. Therefore, in-service training is available to all staff members and professional growth is both encouraged and rewarded.
 
All first year teachers participate in a mentoring program designed to accelerate the development of their teaching skills. As a part of this program, each is paired with a master teacher who offers guidance and assistance during his/her first year.
 
Opportunities for post graduate work are immediately available. Arizona State University is located in Tempe, just 20 miles from the district, with a branch campus, ASU West, in northwest Phoenix. Extension courses from University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, and others are offered nearby.

Teaching experience in any Cartwright District school qualifies for deferment and cancellation of Perkins (NDSL) loans.
