Taking Care of Our Community

In addition to serving the Human Resources profession, we also support our community.

• HHRA sponsors a Scholarship Program. This $1500 gift is awarded to a talented hospitality-minded local student to assist them in their pursuit of continued education in the field of hospitality or culinary arts.
• HHRA also supports a local charity. Each summer, we select a charity to support with donations of time, supplies and funds.

Past speakers have spoke on topics such as, Hospitality Legal Updates, How to Maximize Performance Potential, Connecting with Career Services and Placement Companies, Education Programs Geared to the Hospitality Industry, Visa Overview and Updates, Total Responsibility Leadership, The Ins and Outs of Unemployment, and so on.

Rapore build and market your property at our Job Fairs, Enjoy a Joint Luncheon with our GM's as part of a cooperative effort with the Valley Hotel & Resort Association, Have some fun at our End-of-the-Year Party at an upbeat venue, Pamper yourself with a relaxing bus trip to Sedona to experience yoga and meditation therapy, Respond to community needs with various Charity events based on the needs of the time and moment.  

In addition, each meeting provides information on the latest industry sponsored events such as, The Great Southwest Lodging and Restaurant Show - including free tickets, Taste of Hospitality Event, STARS of the Industry, Red Cross and Alcohol Awareness certification classes, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and more.
