Profile: Sonoran Desert Security User Group

The Sonoran Desert Security Users Group (SDSUG) will be considered a first by most standards in that we not only discuss ACF2 and Top Secret Security issues but also Distributed Systems, and any issue related to Security for any platform or device. We are a diverse group of Information Security Professionals; Technical, Non-Technical, Administrators, Auditors, and Management, for the Mainframe, Mid-range, LAN/WAN, Wireless,, Forensics, and Networking systems. We meet quarterly and share information on how to secure our environments with ACF2, Top Secret, and other eTrust Distributed Systems security software as well as ALL other software vendors and products.

Our goal is to identify security related issues, inform our membership regarding those issues, and work with Computer Associates and other vendors to resolve any problems related to those issues.

As Security Professionals, we will review existing security systems and make recommendations for enhancements that will benefit all users of Computer Associates eTrust Security products as well as other Security related Product Vendors.

Since our initial startup meeting on September 25, 2001, we have grown from 22 members and 8 companies to 850+ contacts. We are still in the process of growing even more in the year 2008 AND BEYOND.

Our meetings are attended by an average of 40-70+ persons.
