Strategic Plan: Key Goals & Objectives

Goal #1: To increase membership

Objectives:

  1. To increase pharmacists' memberships by 20% to 1000 by May, 2006.
  2. To increase technician membership by 270% (from 118 to 500) by May, 2006.
  3. To increase student memberships by 52% (from 119 to 250) by May, 2006.
  4. To create an active membership committee
  5. To develop a membership strategic plan by September 1, 2005 for adoption by the Alliance Board of Directors.

Goal #2: To increase membership involvement in the Alliance.

Objectives

  1. To define the committees and assign committee chairs by July 1, 2005.

Goal #3: To provide continuing education programming.

Objectives:

  1. To define the accreditation process.
  2. To incorporate the CE Task Force recommendations into the accreditation process.
  3. To identify sources of funds and resources in supporting continuing education programming.
  4. To define the membership benefit of continuing education.
  5. To offer at least 12 programs per year.

Goal #4: To increase pharmacy visibility.

Objectives

  1. To enhance the public image of pharmacy.
  2. To use National Pharmacy Month as a springboard to increase the public's awareness of the profession of pharmacy.
  3. To develop stronger strategic partnerships with Midwestern University and University of Arizona College of Pharmacies.
  4. To create a public relations campaign.
  5. To create methods of reporting to the Board and membership of public relations successes.
  6. To write and get published one editorial piece a year.
