Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) Employment Services (CES) helps homeless men and women end their homelessness by providing the resources and assistance they need to re-enter the employment market and secure housing. Homeless men and women looking for employment face many obstacles including not having resources to find and start employment (i.e. work and interview clothing, tools, computers, phones and voice mail, etc.), limited or no experience, limited skills and/or education levels, limited personal connections and networking opportunities and the general stigmatization of homelessness by employers. These barriers can be insurmountable without support. To achieve these goals, CES offers the following programs:
Temporary Employment Services (TES): provides temporary employment placements and opportunities for temp to permanent employment. TES provides an entry point into the employment market by developing skills and work experience. Job Development Services (JDS): provides comprehensive employment placement services including job readiness classes, skills assessments, case planning and counseling with employment specialists, transportation assistance, job search and employment resources (work clothing and tools, computers, phone and voice mail services, and transportation assistance) and job referrals and placements. Integrated Services: CES programs are integrated with other CASS service programs to ensure that the individual can address non-employment related issues that may present additional obstacles Contact Us
