Job: Commercial Insurance Customer Service Agent

East Valley Independent Insurance Agency is looking for a licensed Commercial Lines Cutomer Service Agent.

This opening is for a Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent / CSR.

Required experience level = P&C licensed with 1-2 years in an Independent Agency Setting.

Preference will be given for candidates familiar with Applied Systems Agency Manager.

Insurance terminology and endorsement experience is required.


Typical duties include:

Enter, update, and verify data in The Agency Management System (TAM)

Prepare Renewal Proposals

Process new and renewal business by direction of AM

Process Endorsements - premium and non-premium

Process Cancellations and Reinstatements.

Prepare and mail Agency Bill Statements

Follow Imaging procedure to attach all data ( faxes, email, documents)

Prepare and Produce Certificates of Insurance / Evidence of Insurance

High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge of computer operation including Microsoft Word 2007, Outlook 2007 & Internet Explorer 7.

Ability to type 25 wpm.

Ability to read, write, speak and use proper grammar in English.

Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone.

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, memos and technical procedures.

Ability to compose simple business correspondence.

Strong ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workflow.

Ability to process a high volume of work, under tight production turnaround times.
