Job Description:

This position will be responsible for the management, supervision and coordination of the day to day operations of the business banking commercial support area. The manager will provide support and direction to commercial relationship support staff in the Arizona region and work as a partner with the business banking team to achieve goals/targets.

Primary responsibility will include supervision of the support staff while monitoring work flow and quality. This position requires a visionary person who can lead change within the organization. The Commercial Manager will assist in the production of management reports and develop new processes and procedures within the department to seek maximum efficiency while ensuring adherence to regulations and policies.

Selected individual will assist support staff in the timely servicing of clients and prospects by responding to requests concerning loan transactions, cash management, depository accounts and other services related to developing and maintaining a full-service commercial banking relationship.

Will develop business banking group standards for work performed and monitor work completed to meet established guidelines. Will be responsible for the selection, development, coaching, appraisal, and retention of Commercial Banking support staff and enhancing client relationships and retention through the timely delivery of products and services.

May supervise other commercial support procedures as deemed necessary.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years banking and supervisory experience, preferably in a business banking environment. College degree preferred.

Must exhibit innovation and creativity in problem solving and a desire to succeed in a team environment. Knowledge of bank regulations, operations procedures and formal supervision experience is necessary. This position requires diplomacy, a high degree of business professionalism, accuracy, ability to organize multiple tasks and a strong client-focused service approach in a fast-paced environment.

 Knowledge of commercial loan documentation including selection of forms and documents and their proper execution highly preferred. Work requires individual to exercise ingenuity, to analyze situations and apply judgment required to make decisions.

Must have the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and function within a team atmosphere. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows including MS Word and Excel required.
