POSITION SUMMARY:

The team leader assists the account managers in reviews, monitoring and directing collection activity, assuring company policies and procedures, as well as, state and federal laws are followed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to provide general guidelines and parameters for the job and are not intended to be a comprehensive, detailed description of the job.

* Review and process associated paperwork as assigned.

* Review and audit accounts daily, giving input to Collection Manager as needed.

* Provide training, motivation, and support to all assigned employees assuring compliance of policies and procedures.

* Resolve customer complaints.

* Monitor collector's customer calls for training purposes.

* Must be able to assist other Collection Managers in floor coverage if Team Leader Manager is absent.

* Must have strong multitasking skills

* Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.

* Must have effective communication, both verbal and written.

* Administer continuous training efforts by browsing accounts, answering collector questions; handle escalated calls, review skip accounts, and side by side training.

* Must have the ability to work a Supervisor queue throughout the work schedule, while managing seven to ten direct reports.

Skills / Requirements
*High school diploma or equivalent.
*Must have advanced collection skills -- the ability to manage accounts that are mid-range (46 - 90 days delinquent).
*Demonstrate good verbal communication, organizational skills, negotiation, leadership, and data entry skills.
*Have strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to make sound business decisions, and use good judgment in relation to the handling of delinquent accounts.
*Mathematical ability necessary in calculating payment plans and past due amounts.
*Must be proficient in Microsoft products, especially Word and Excel).

*Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
