Jobing Description
The Labor and Delivery RN directs the peripartum care of women in their childbearing years, from adolescence to about 50 years of age, and the care of newborn infants. Develops and maintains a database with admission histories and initial and ongoing assessments. Develops individualized plan of care for each patient. Implements plan of care in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Evaluates responses to nursing interventions and revises plan of care accordingly.
Skills / Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a Labor and Delivery Department.
Education: Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing Licensure/Certifications: Current Missouri License; BLS within 3 months of hire; NRP and STABLE within 6 months of hire and then every 2 years; ACLS within 1 year of hire; Basic Fetal Monitoring within 30 days of hire; AWOHNN FHMPP fetal monitoring within 6 months of hire; Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire, then every 2 years. ***2-5 years experience ***Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree / Accredited School of Nursing ***7p-7a - 12 hour shifts week, rotating weekends Important Notes
