Skills / Requirements
Responsible for data integrity including
- chart reviews, abstraction of data. Provides various reports, data interpretation for performance indicators required by Joint Commission, CMS and other regulatory agencies. Adheres to specified database definitions and requirements as developed by regulatory agencies. Collects data for on-going and ad-hoc studies as directed. Has working knowledge of data variables, collection processes, standards and data dictionaries per guidelines. Completes chart abstractions meeting required deadlines and submits data to vendor. Identifies and communicates outliers as identified. Conducts monthly data validity. Trains and educates others in the area of Core Measurement Requirements, as it pertains to Quality Improvement and Assurance. Maintains Core Measurement knowledge through self-development and keeps current on all changes related to Core Measure requirements and others as appropriate.

Educational Requirements:
BS degree in nursing, health information management, healthcare administration, or equivalent healthcare experience

Experience Requirements:
Three years experience in healthcare nursing/quality, health information management, and/or equivalent healthcare experience

Proficient computer skills

License/Registration/Certification:
RN (if applicable) OR CPHQ (preferred)

PREFERRED SKILLS:
RN license
