****Position is 1 month temporary assignment****


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The Compliance Analyst/Risk Management Assistant will be responsible and report to the Director of Contracts and Operations for the tasks required in managing client services through audit procedures, monitoring contract compliance, and financial & reporting requirements. This includes chart audit, financial analysis, and analytical skills. Must meet all contracting and licensing requirements for agency personnel.


KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIRED:

· Conduct audits as requested by management issuing detailed and thorough reports on outcomes and findings in a timely manner.

· Interview any party that is related to or involved with the current audit to identify and evaluate any barriers or problems that may be causing inefficient or inaccurate compliance.

· Perform data analysis, validate accuracy, and produce trending reports as requested by management or as identified in an audit in a timely manner.

· Develop work plans to resolve inefficiencies in areas where improvement is needed as shown by analysis therby aiding in the quality management of the agency.

Conducts audits ensuring that services provided have been billed and all billed services are appropriately documented. Coordinate with clinical and billing departments. Issue reports on status of audit. Prepares, reviews, and submits claims for insurance payment and monitoring status. Submits status of claims weekly to supervisor.

Skills / Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or business administration and at least two years experience in finance, auditing, risk management, or contracts preferably in a behavioral health managed care environment.

· Knowledge of basic requirements for documentation of behavioral health services, clinical operations, and treatment of mental and substance abuse disorders.

· Knowledge of general rules and regulations governing federally funded clinical programs. Standards of care related to the provision of behavioral health service and their taxonomy. Utilization review/quality assurance principles and terminology.

· Ability to work well independently and with little need for supervision. Identifying and analyzing problems and recommending solutions.

· Maintain an acceptable driving record per agency policy.

· Possess excellent analytical skills. Ability to process electronic reports. Proficient in Word and Excel.
