JOB SUMMARY:
• The ideal manager will have extensive experience with SQL Server backup, maintenance and monitoring, and working with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and Cubes. Manages Data Solutions department and supervises development staff. IS or related degree and certification preferred, and .NET application development experience. Knowledge of healthcare is highly desired. MAIN SKILL SETS: o Heavy SQL Server 2000/2005 Enterprise Edition including SQL queries and stored procedures o Backup/restoration, monitor, and maintenance of SQL Server o SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) o SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) o SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) including Cube development o Application development preferred: C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, etc. Skills / Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Minimum 5 years SQL Server 2000/2005 experience o 4 year degree preferred with IS emphasis or related degree and certifications o Solid analytical and problem solving skills o SQL Server administration skills including user authorizations, database creation, tables, and indexes o Perform database development activities such as coding and debugging stored procedures, triggers, cursors, and operating system scripts for mission critical applications o Extensive experience with performance tuning and application, design, query optimization, client/server, connectivity, and database consistency checks o Proficiency with Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services, Cubes o Performed backups, updated index statistics, monitored database and disk space. o Expertise in planning and implementing Database Security by creating users, roles, and assigning permissions o Analyze database and reporting needs and requirements, implement recommended solutions. o Ability to collect requirements from business users and transform them into data models. o Conduct meetings with business partners and technical staff. o Daily creation of ad hoc reports using SQL Server concepts SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (Analysis Services) and SSRS (Reporting Services). o Point of contact/responsible for database and other application vendors when problem escalation is warranted. o Interact closely and professionally with other team members on various projects or tasks. o Supervises Data Solutions staff. Recommends hiring of employees. Trains and evaluates staff to enhance their performance, development, and work product. o Flexible, enthusiastic and project oriented team player with excellent written, verbal communication and leadership skills.
