POSITION SUMMARY: Billing Manager * Manage billing team in a coaching environment * Third Party Billing management ensuring services are billed and paid timely * Analyze status of services and claims utilizing excel to generate reports and graphs * Coordinate with third party payers to ensure billing is in accordance with contract requirements including receipt of authorization * Establish working relationships with Site Directors for ensuring documentation is completed for claims to pay * Manage and monitor unpaid and uncollectable claims * Train employees on third party payers and billing practices and protocols Responsible for managing the CHOICES Billing and A/R functions under the TERROS ASO. Reports to TERROS Director of Billing and A/R. Will monitor, manage and analyze the billing and claims functions for CHOICES Inc. Must provide leadership, direction and training to all billing staff and meet the needs of payers, co-workers and customers in a culturally diverse and increasingly demanding healthcare environment. Responsibilities: * Prepare billings submit file weekly by Tuesday and submit to Magellan * Assure the payment posting of all client/payer payments within the month they were received. * Prepare a monthly recap for all uncollectible claims indicating reason for write off by 10th of month. * Assure all denied claims are researched, corrected and resubmitted within 30 days of receipt of denial. * Providing director with weekly billing reports with denials received and what resolution was necessary. * Conducts staff performance evaluations in accordance with company policy. * Interview and hire staff as needed. * Provide recap of unbillable services due to lack of proper documentation on a weekly basis Schedule: Full time, days Skills / Requirements
* Behavioral health experience preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in related field * Third party claims experience * Management experience * Coding knowledge and experience * Excel at an intermediate level or above (will be tested) Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in administration, behavioral health or healthcare management. * Minimum of three years supervisory/management experience. At least 1-2 years Healthcare experience required. * Experience in specific area of work applied for such as healthcare services, customer service and medical records. * Demonstrated administrative management experience with strong program and fiscal management capability. * Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: advanced level highly preferred- Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
