Job: Payroll Specialist

On Time Express is seeking a highly motivated Payroll Specialist, who will be responsible for the accurate, timely calculation and distribution of payroll checks to employees. This is accomplished by computing wages, calculating deductions, calculating final payroll and reviewing time cards. The Payroll Specialist must maintain absolute confidentiality of all payroll information and must respect the personal nature of the payroll relationship between the employer and the employee.

General Purpose: Contacts and assists Drivers in the process of obtaining information for payroll production and tax related issues; verifies totals, responds to/resolves Driver questions and problems and delivers quality customer service.

Typical Duties:

• Contacts drivers to obtain payroll data including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations and employee deductions and to set schedules,

• Accurately keys all payroll related date necessary to process and meet appointment schedules.

• Keeps abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws, and corresponds with federal, state and local tax agencies on behalf of our clients in problem situations.

* Maintains driver pay files and related documents.
* Researches and resolves pay issues or problems.
* Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with drivers.

Requirements: 2 years payroll and office experience with a proven facility in date entry, customer service, and problem resolution.
