Job: Default Services - Risk (Tax) Analysis

Description:

Aggressively investigate home equity/mortgage accounts with delinquent taxes using a variety of tools; including calling County Tax offices, accessing County websites and utilizing third-party vendors to obtain outstanding or delinquent tax information.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts that are in bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings to meet assigned production standards.
• Preparing tax files for management review for payment processing requests, where appropriate.
• Use effective problem solving and communication skills, initiative, drive and motivation to meet department goals.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all laws, policies and standards; including company standard operating procedures, equity finance programs, as well as state and federal legal requirements with regard to property tax delinquencies, tax sales, tax liens, and foreclosures procedures.

Requirements:

• Strong Administrative skills; prior experience in an administrative support role highly preferred.
• Record keeping and/or process tracking experience preferred.
• Excellent numeric aptitude, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Detail oriented and organized; able to track multiple files simultaneously and maintain communication with team mates and department management, as well as other departments.
• Able to meet goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous computer experience and/or knowledge.
• Able to follow Company’s standard operating procedures, comply with FDCPA regulations, and follow the legal responsibilities involved with collections, bankruptcies, foreclosures and charge-offs.
