Job: Maintenance Mechanic B - Flexible shift

Uses electrical and mechanical expertise to trouble shoot, repairs, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is in good operable condition at all times.


·Must read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, use simple shop math and possess knowledge of company, local, state, federal abd electrical codes.

·Installs, operates, maintains, checks all types of mechanical equipment as directed and trouble-shoots all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Installs, trouble-shoots and repairs solid state and electronic equipment.

·Possesses a working knowledge of the following equipment:
·Mig/Tag welding equipment.
·Arc welding equipment.
·Gas cutting equipment and plasma cutting equipment.
·Power tools such as drill presses, cut off saws, lathes, mills, and portable table tools.
·Electrical test equipment, such as voltmeter, ohmmeter, mehger, ammeter,
transistor, diode and S/C tester.

·Uses safe working practices and reports all hazardous conditions at all times.

·Inspects machines, takes any required test and completes all reports and paperwork as required for company record.

·Read and make proper installations of semi-complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams as instructed.

·Must possess industrial maintenance tool per department tool list.

·Perform PM and repair work in accordance with A.I.B. and G.M.P. principals.

·Dismantles, repairs and re-assembles gear boxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives, electrical motors, relays and all allied mechanical equipment when directed or when directly related to electrical trouble shooting.

·Possess working knowledge of hydraulic systems, air systems and be able to read semi-complex diagrams and troubleshoot working systems.

·Installs and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, and tubing including all necessary connections, controls and grounding as directed.

·Possess working knowledge of dust and fume collectors and performs necessary repairs on these items as directed.

·Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting equipment in the performance of maintenance work. Must have forklift operators license.

·Possess knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation.

·Possess some knowledge of lubricants for all types of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machines as directed.

·Help maintain spare parts inventory for plant as directed by checking out parts from parts mezzanine, using parts ordering procedure, and re-stocking inventory.

·Must adhere to and obey all plant safety rules and regulations and wear all personnel protective equipment as directed.

Education:

·High School graduate preferred - able to read and write English functionally.
·Able to work flexible work schedule.
·Working knowledge of electricity, hydraulic, and air systems; fume and dust collectors, plumbing circuits, welding.
