Job: Security Officer

Under general supervision, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of security tasks including security patrols, emergency preparedness and investigation, and documentation of critical incidents. Assists the Security Supervisor in the development, implementation and maintenance of assigned security. Full time Security Officer position available at SanTan Village.

Officers maintain a highly visible and reassuring presence through their frequent patrol of property both by foot and vehicle. Officers are the eyes and ears of the center. By their presence, they act as a deterrent to crime and vandalism, and help maintain a safe environment for our visitors, customers and employees. Officers are the customer service ambassadors for the shopping center. All training, uniforms and uniform cleaning, and equipment are paid for. Excellent opportunities for advancement.

Department: Security and Guest Services
Reports To: Security Supervisor, Security & Guest Services Manager
Status: Full Time non exempt
Shift: 3PM-11:30PM

Detailed knowledge of the property

Patrol the common areas, corridors and parking lots

Observe and report criminal activity to the police

Enforce the centers rules and regulations

Insures the protections of colleagues, guests and tenants while on property

Work closely with guest services representatives to provide services to our visitors, customers and employees

Have a working knowledge of the property, promotional events and merchandise available in mall stores to direct guests and assist them during their visit

Assist visitors and guests with specific problems, such as dead batteries, misplaced vehicles, escorts, assistance with packages, etc

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR or AED support as necessary until medical professionals arrive

Be proactive in helping everyone have an outstanding shopping experience at our centers

Prepare written reports using the OnGuard report-writing program

Provides documentation of security, fire and safety deficiencies

Responds to emergency situations, Must be capable of responding to and assisting during emergency situations, in a timely and efficient manner

Provides operational and administrative assistance when necessary
