Jobing Description
SUMMARY

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of applications systems projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of resources.
• Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
• Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project.
• Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
• Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
• Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required.
• Prepares project status reports and keeps management and others informed of project status and related issues.
• Confers with other IT personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
• Develops processes that ensure developed applications meets all project requirements.
• Develops and maintains technical and project documentation.
• Develops quality assurance test plans and directs quality assurance testing.
• Implementation of system enhancements, interfaces, and upgrades.
• Provides technical support to Operations Support Analysts.
• Assists with daily, monthly, and periodic processing.

Skills / Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field or minimum of 5 years project management experience in a banking environment. Previous experience with Users or Summit Systems preferred.


Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
