Organization Objective/Purpose:

Shared Support Services Finance provides financial support to Schwab Technology Services, Schwab Operations and Schwab Project Finance. Schwab Technology Services (STS) oversees Schwab’s technology infrastructure and applications including the data centers, desktop support, telecommunication services, application and domain development and maintenance for Schwab’s revenue enterprises. STS finance is a group of seven finance professionals who provide decision support services to the business including planning, forecasting, financial reporting, metrics, profitability analysis, capital investment acquisitions, and other ad-hoc analytical support.



Brief Description of Role:

In this senior-level, individual contributor role you will:

provide support for the strategic and financial needs for Schwab’s Technology Infrastructure Services group supporting several internal infrastructure technology groups including desktop implementation and support, security, internal business applications and systems solutions, comprised of 300+ LE’s and $70M in annual gross spending.
provide a broad spectrum of work with responsibility for FP&A including annual planning, expense forecasting, month end close and reporting activities, analytical and decision support initiatives including infrastructure acquisitions and total cost of ownership, as well as supporting several business and systems solution technology application and domains and their chargeback process.
be a key business partner role to a Senior VP, his VP directs and their organizations, providing business decision support participating in driving change, improving productivity and system availability, assisting in developing key internal business metrics and consumption drivers in the organization.

The successful candidate in this role will have the following skills background:

8-10+ years of experience and responsibility in financial planning and analysis, and an accounting background is strongly preferred.
Strong (8-10+ years of experience in) finance analytics/modeling background
excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal are also required.
Experience in cost benefit analysis and applying economic evaluation concepts and principles (NPV, opportunity cost, and rationalization of financial benefits.
Excellent proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
An MBA/CPA or equivalent experience is highly desired.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize a number of time sensitive tasks, and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge of information systems applications, systems, and infrastructure technology is a strongly preferred.
