Location: Arizona-Phoenix
Schedule: Full-time Phoenix Children's Hospital is the only specialty children's hospital in Arizona and it is poised to become one of the foremost pediatric hospitals in the nation. The hospital is home to the state's largest group of pediatric specialists and sub-specialists. In addition, the hospital continues to evolve its clinical practices and is working with leading local and national research partners to uncover new breakthroughs in pediatric medicine. Currently a 345 bed facility, new construction plans were unveiled in October 2006 that include the building of two new patient bed towers and expansion in bed capacity and other key programs and services over the course of the next several years. In short, PCH is a growing, thriving organization where opportunities for personal development and promotion of our employees will continue in years to come. Perform a variety of routine and complex Neurodiagnostics procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disease and injury. Monitor the functional integrity of the central and peripheral nervous system through intraoperative recording. Work activities are performed in an environmentally controlled hospital setting subject to extended periods of walking, standing, sitting, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling equipment up to 180 pounds, lifting equipment/supplies up to 40 pounds; potential exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals and waste. Regularly required to use fine motor skills to manipulate and/or maintain equipment. Traveling to a satellite facility or the PCH McDowell NICU and PET Center is occasionally required.CB Skills / Requirements
1. AS degree in a related science but Electroneurodiagnostics or Neurophysiology is preferred; or five years equivalent experience. 2. Completion of registration by the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists in EEG (R EEG T). 3. Completion of registration by the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists in Evoked Potentials (R EP T) orCertification in Neuro intraoperative Monitoring (C.N.I.M.). 4. Three years of Intraoperative monitoring experience. 5. Computer Basics proficiency. 6. Possess sound judgment. 7. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, staff and family members. 8. Must be willing to work outside normal shift hours and/or day schedule if necessary. CB Important Notes
