Job: Paraprofessional, After School Aide and Child Care Worker

Paraprofessionl (Part time)
Academia del Pueblo Charter School is looking for part-time Paraprofessional to assist teachers K through 8th grade.
Position Summary: Under the supervision of Academia del Pueblo Principal, this position is responsible for implementing the day-to-day activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional assistance to program participants (students).
Prepare materials and resources to facilitate instruction.
Perform assigned playground duties and encourage students to demonstrate self discipline and personal responsibility.
Immediately report any incidents to the school Principal and/or designee.
Transport program participants home.
Adhere to Friendly House policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate students records and submitting required paperwork on a timely basis.
Comply with mandatory hours of training.
Perform other duties assigned by the school Principal and/or designee.


After School Worker (Part time)
Position Summary: Under the supervision of Academia del Pueblo Principal, this position is responsible for implementing the day-to-day activities of the After School Program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional support to program participants.
Prepare materials and resources to facilitate instruction.
Perform assigned playground duties and encourage students to demonstrate self discipline and personal responsibility.
Establish and maintain records and files according to contract specifications.
Immediately report any unusual incidents to Youth Services Director.
Adhere to Friendly House policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate student’s records and submitting required paperwork on a timely basis.
Attend mandatory trainings and comply with required hours of training.
Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Youth Services.


Child Care Worker (Part time)
Position Summary: Under the supervision of Academia del Pueblo Principal, this position is responsible for implementing the day-to-day activities of the daycare center.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to program participants
Prepare materials and resources to facilitate instruction
Perform assigned playground duties and encourage children to demonstrate self-discipline and personal responsibility
Establish and maintain records and files according to center requirements
Immediately report incidents to supervisor
Adhere to Friendly House and Youth Services policies and procedures
Comply with mandatory hours of training
Adhere to licensing requirements for safety, sanitation, and documentation
Perform other duties as assigned by Youth Services Director

Qualifications:
Must possess a CDA certificate and at least one year experience working with children; must be at least 21 years of age; must have/be able to obtain first class fingerprint clearance card; must be patient, understanding, and sensitive to children’s needs and wants.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to supervise and direct a large number of students on playground; ability to relate well with inner-city, minority youth; ability to safeguard client information and maintain workplace confidentiality. Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred but not necessary

Minimum Qualifications for Paraprofessionals and After School Program:
Applicant must possess an Associate of Arts Degree or 60 College credit or pass the Paraprofessional test. Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's license; must be at least 21 years of age and must have/be able to obtain class one fingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to supervise and direct a large number of students on playground; ability to relate well with inner-city, minority youth; ability to safeguard client information and maintain workplace confidentiality; bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
