Jobing Description
This Project Coordinator may perform some or all of the following duties and responsibilities and may perform other associated duties:
ยท Assist in reviewing assignments to determine scope and diversity of involvement, training and resources needed, necessary contacts and required procedural administrative actions, reviews existing methods and procedures, and modifies as necessary to accomplish assignment; identifies potential difficulties and determines means of lessening or avoiding them. Contact appropriate participants such as various internal units and external units (client); seeks cooperation and input in project assignment, coordinates needed meetings to gather input, and meet procedural requirements. Identifies resources and administrative steps needed for project completion; develops project plan in consultation with appropriate participants; initiates project and coordinates steps to ensure participation of appropriate interested individuals and groups. Represents organization, project managers, and team members in meetings in dealing with affected and interested individuals and groups concerning the project; moderates divergent viewpoints and helps build consensus among those involved appropriate to the project assignment, processes, and procedures. Monitors project status to ensure progress toward completion, required procedural steps are completed fully and timely. Works under general supervision of a supervisor or project manager. Uses Department of Education regulations, system compliance, and other guidelines and interpretations. Consults with supervisor or project manager as necessary to obtain clarification of expected results, reports on progress toward completion of assignments, confirms interpretation of regulations and policies, or seek guidance in complicated or less clearly defined areas At times, works late hours and/or weekends to ensure project implementation success Develop an in-depth understanding of financial aid and the PeopleSoft system to be able to provide support and troubleshoot system issues. Skills / Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience as a Project Coordinator or Project Manager
Minimum of two years experience with Title IV preferred, but not required Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook. Experience with Peoplesoft, OSIRIS, and ORACLE preferred but not required Bachelors Degree or higher preferred Knowledge of analytical methods, procedures, and practices, to include research software Knowledge of project planning and management procedures, practices, and techniques. Ability to collect and analyze complex data. Ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations. Ability to coordinate project activities with diverse groups and individuals. Ability to read and understand standard business documentation, technical and functional specifications and assessments Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must possess good organizational skills and be able to work on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules. Ability to provide both constructive and positive feedback to team members, project managers, and supervisors. Have strong team building skills.
