Medical Social Workers provide social work services for facilitating solutions to the medically related psychosocial/environmental problems of patients and families and ensures the continuity of patient care by implementing interventions that include ongoing assessment, counseling, referral, information and guidance during hospitalization and outpatient treatment. Medical Social Workers also maintain positive working relationships with vendors and government agencies to access services for patients.

Department: Patient and Family Support Services

Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work.
Minimum two years of experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.

Arizona licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
Basic life support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
