ATTENTION MRI Technologists!!!
Come be part of a mission which serves our nation's heroes! MRI Technologist for Phoenix VA Healthcare System with Siemens 1.5 T Avanto MRI service. Technologist coordinates the scheduling and performance of the MRI exams. Performs a variety of MRI procedures, including vascular, body, musculoskeletal and neuro examinations. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment. Helps maintain Quality Assurance and Safety policies and procedures. Responsible for on-call when indicated. Must be competent in starting I.V.'s and in hospital emergency response procedures. ARRT, RT(R) required, RT(MR) preferred. Two years minimum MRI experience. Tour of Duty: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (On-Call and Rotating Shifts) Skills / Requirements
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
a) Citizen of the United States. b) Certification- must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R). c) Experience or Education. Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months duration (or the equivalent) in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate or an associate’s degree, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), and certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiology. d) This position requires a pre-employment physical examination. e) Proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), and 7407(d). QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: You must have specialized experience directly related to the position being filled, that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) required to successfully perform in this position (see below). All applicants must be certified as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). In addition, you must demonstrate the following technical KSAs and demonstrate the potential to acquire the assignment specific KSAs designated by an asterisk (*): 1. *Ability to balance the needs of the patients and staff while still performing complex scans and procedures. 2. Skill to demonstrate appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from the medical record, significant others, and health care providers. 3. *Ability to assess factors that may contraindicate the procedure. 4. Knowledge of basic first aid and basic life support practices related to radiography. 5. Knowledge of physical assessment, aseptic techniques, intravenous skills, and universal precautions. 6. Knowledgeable in pre-procedural, procedural, and post-procedural care of patients. **ARRT, RT(R) required, RT(MR) preferred. Two years minimum experience. Important Notes
