Jobing Description
1. Ensures the player database is being effectively marketed through direct mail programs.
2. Writes coupon copy for direct mailers. 3. Works with Database Analyst to create and distribute mail files for direct mail programs. 4. Communicates with graphic designers to ensure direct mail pieces are the highest of quality, are simple to understand from the guest’s perspective and are finished in timely manner. 5. Communicates with outside vendors to ensure direct mail pieces are accurate and mailed in a timely manner. 6. Communicates with guests regarding mail issues and marketing questions. 7. Requests and proofs direct mail projects for accuracy and quality. 8. Promotes the highest degree of quality customer service, both internally and externally. 9. Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness. 10. Maintain superior customer service to all internal and external customers. 11. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills. 12. Ability to produce a quality product on a consistent basis. 13. Ensure confidentiality throughout the department. 14. Must agree to maintain Drug-Free Workplace as a condition of employment with Gila River Casino. 15. Must be able to work in a smoking environment. 16. All gaming facility employees must be certified/licensed. The certification process includes a full background check. 17. Other duties as directed. Hours are determined by a twenty-four hours schedule and subject to change as needed. 18. Preference is given to qualified members of the Gila River Indian Community. Skills / Requirements
1. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
2. A college degree preferred in marketing, advertising, communications or related field, and/or 1-3 years experience in advertising, marketing, casino database or related work experience. 3. Casino database experience preferred. 4. Must be computer-literate with specific proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access applications. 5. Ability to work closely with several departments and levels within the Enterprise. 6. Experience in analyzing demographic and statistical data. 7. Excellent communication and customer service skills. 8. Exhibits good judgment and excellent ability to establish and maintain personal/professional relationships, and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 9. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects ensuring completions of projects in a timely fashion. 10. Must have the ability to work in and encourage a team environment. 11. Creative problem solving. 12. Self-starter with excellent follow through. 13. Must be able to work varied hours and weekends. 14. Broad knowledge of the Gila River Indian Community. 15. Conceptual understanding of the following: • National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) • Minimum Internal Controls Standards (MICS) • Gila River Gaming Commission - Rule 9 – Accounting and Internal Controls - Rule 2 – Governing Licensee Compliance and Enforcement • U.S. Treasury Bank Secrecy Act & U.S. Patriot Act of 2001 (With regards to Title 31 and Suspicious Activity Reports pertaining to Casino activity) • State Compact between Gila River Indian Community/State of Arizona • Gila River Indian Community-Tribal Gaming Ordinance • GRGE Gaming Internal Control System which includes Enterprise and Departmental Policies and Procedures Closing Date: October 29, 2009 Important Notes
