Job: PORTFOLIO MANAGER/COMMUNITY BANKER

Meridian Bank is looking for bright, motivated, performance-oriented individuals and is now accepting applications for a Portfolio Manager in our Remediation & Dispositions (R & D) Division. This position works closely with the Vice President and Manager of R & D and is primarily responsible for resolving payment performance issues and collection of criticized and classified commercial and industrial loans. This position will restructure, negotiate, guide, oversee and assess the successful performance of engaged collection agencies as well as the liquidation of assets. This position will transition into a Community Banking Officer role as the number of criticized commercial and industrial loans diminishes and we begin to focus on business development and commercial loan production.

Successful candidates must have prior proven experience in commercial and industrial loan workouts with a thorough knowledge of practices and techniques pertaining to problem loan management, including loan litigation and contract law. Requirements also include a thorough knowledge of loan documentation including legal documentation, collateral perfection, legal and regulatory requirements along with education and experience equivalent to a bachelors degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in collection and loan recovery. Additionally, candidates must have proven commercial business development experience and the ability to asses and structure small commercial and industrial loans.
