The ACT Clinical Coordinator ensures team provides 24/7 coverage with direct involvement when necessary. Provides efficient clinical and administrative supervision of an Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT). Serves as a liaison with administration, clinical services, service providers and external stakeholders. Reviews appropriateness for outpatient and inpatient treatment services. Oversees team's day-to-day functioning in relation to the delivery of Assertive Community Treatment Services.

  • Participates in the hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and supervising of ACT Case Managers and all Specialists both administratively and clinically. Administratively supervises the PC and RN.
  • Evaluates the ACT Case Managers and all Specialists performance in coordination with the ACT Manager and appropriate specialist designee, including involvement in any necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Identifies, plans, and directly provides all needed services for the consumers and their support system to be delivered by ACT staff – with exception of services outside of the scope of the team.
  • Responsible for ensuring team is compliant with all established fidelity measures.
  • Ensures that all ACT staff maintains accurate, thorough, and current documentation in accordance with policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Ensures daily communication occurs at a level necessary to provide care for all consumers served at a level required for continuity of care across team principles.
  • Assures that treatment planning is completed in accordance with policies, appropriately addresses consumer’s needs, and is completed in a timely manner.

  • Skills / Requirements
    This position requires the employee to be credentialed and privileged to conduct assessments as a qualified assessor/Clinical Liaison.
    This is a supervisory position requiring more education and experience therefore; a person must have one of the following combinations of education, license and/or behavioral health work experience:
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in a behavioral health related field, plus 2 years behavioral health work experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
    A Professional license is not required, but is preferred. An employee in this position must meet criteria to be credentialed and privileged as a qualified assessor to conduct assessments. Additionally, if employee is a licensed behavioral health professional, he/she must also be credentialed and privileged before conducting assessments.

  • Requires effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow direction, use of sound judgment and excellent time management skills are essential.
  • Previous supervision experience required.
  • Thorough and working knowledge of psychiatric conditions is imperative as well as a basic understanding of the DSM-IV.
  • Specialized knowledge of co-occurring substance abuse disorder assessment and treatment and housing needs assessments and resources is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, ClaimTrak
  • Valid AZ driver’s license.
