TITLE: Assist Property Mgr /Activity Coordinator
HOURS OF WORK: Full Time, Variable LOCATION: Carefree on North Central and Catherine Arms CHAIN OF AUTHORITY: Board of Directors CEO Director of Property Management Director of Resident Services MISSION: Improving the lives of Native American individuals and families through culturally appropriate behavioral health, affordable housing, and community development services POSITION SUMMARY: Provides property leasing, orientation, coordinates activities and provides assistance for residents at assigned Native American Connections property. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Open the leasing office / community rooms at designated times • Prepare all new leases, provide new resident orientation to facility and describe services for individual residents o Maintain full compliance with all tax credit requirements, with property income restrictions and with documentation requirements o Collect rent, send appropriate non compliance notices as needed o Prepare bank deposits in a timely manner and turn into designated accounting person o Prepare and complete all resident income recertification at renewal time • Provide on-site supervision of property and assist residents with questions and concerns as needed. • Work closely with maintenance staff , coordinate property maintenance and accompany outside contractors while on site • In conjunction with all NAC departments, the Resident Council and supervisors, develop, schedule and implement a full schedule of life skills and social/recreational activities using both internal and external facilitators or providers o Keep timely, accurate written documentation on services provided to residents and on residents attendance and participation o Provide documentation to case managers/supervisors as required o Provide referrals for additional services as needed by resident, (as approved) o Work in a group setting or individually with clients to assist them with the learning of life skills, parenting, budgeting and other skills as required Skills / Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
• Bachelor’s degree in a social services or Senior’s activities development and two years experience in service delivery preferred • OR any combination of related education, professional training or work experience which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform duties WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENT: • Tax credit certification or experience in tax credit property leasing and/or management • Experience with Yardi (property management accounting software) preferable • Knowledge of social and recreational activities for Seniors • Experience in developing and implementing social and life skills to seniors preferable • Must be able to work well with others in a team approach • Experience in working with the Native American population preferred • Excellent communication skills – written and oral • Possess and maintain a valid Arizona drivers license • Must have good organizational and listening skills • MS Office skills Important Notes
