Job: PHP Programmer

Noteworthy Medical Systems is seeking a an individual to be a key member of the software development organization, responsible for design, programming, and unit testing software for commercial software products. They will participate in small development teams using Agile processes (Scrum), and work with a variety of stakeholders including Product Management and QA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coding of new software applications and/or the modification of existing software applications. This will entail the review and understanding of project scope, requirements (stories), project design and the software development life cycle.
* Support (issue resolution) of existing software applications. Any newly created or modified applications will require support time to correct software bugs. The developer will need to respond quickly to critical issues, and may be required to provide Tier III support during non-business hours.

Required skills and knowledge:
* 2+ years programming
* Excellent knowledge and considerable development experience with one or more of the following: Cache programming, Java, PHP, ColdFusion, .NET, SQL, HTML, Javascript
* Experience with source code management tools (CVS, Subversion, Perforce, etc.)
* Experience and understanding of common design patterns and when they should be used
* Knowledge of relational database structure and design, with one of SQL Server, Cache, or mysql
* Understanding of software development lifecycles/methodologies.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* Experience with analyzing requirements and developing application designs
* Ability to develop accurate estimates and assist other with the estimation process
* Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point)
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Must work well independently as well as in a team environment
* Willingness to work evenings/weekends as necessary and dictated by project deadlines or severity of support issues.

Education:
Bachelors degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
