Overview: Supplemental employment!Various shifts needed all days of the week as a Hospital Transporter in one of our West Valley Banner Health facilities, (Banner Thunderbird). This is a Registry position as a Transporter, there are No guaranteed hours and No benefitsThis position is responsible for the safe transport of patients and materials in support of the various nursing units at a Banner facility in the West Valley. (Banner Thunderbird). Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the safe transport of patients and materials in support of the various nursing units at company facilities. Service excellence in this position is demonstrated by consistently displaying service standards in the performance of this job.May be assigned to a variety of areas throughout the facility where transport assets are needed. Customers include patients, their families, visitors, physicians, and other Banner employees.

Applicants must have CPR certification prior to hire18 Years of age or older, High School DiplomaPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. Physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs. Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision. Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects. Must lift up to 75 pounds. Must use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair. Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Able to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone. May require periodic use of personal computer.EQUIPMENT USED:Stryker Bed System; Stretchers; Wheel ChairsMUST BE HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORT
