Overview: This position assists the technologists and nurses in medical imaging by performing non-technical patient and procedure-related duties, including transporting patients, assisting with housekeeping, processing films, and performing other related duties. Responsibilities: 1. Assists Technologists and Nurses in pre and post procedure room preparation by obtaining necessary supplies, preparing contrast media and assisting patients on and off exam tables. Stocks procedure rooms with linen and supplies and ensures par levels are maintained. 2. Assists technologists and nurses with observation of patients. 3. Enters patient information into the computer. Retrieves patient files. Assembles films, film folders, exam labels and requisition. Turns in procedures for interpretation. Answers telephones and routes messages. 4. Assists the technologist with film processing and film processing equipment quality control. 5. Performs patient transport duties.

This position requires the applicant to have a high school diploma or its equivalent, be at least 18 years of age and speak, read and write English. Must be physically able to safely lift and move patients. Must have common sense and exercise good judgment, effectively communicate, use discretion with patients, staff and the general public. Must be CPR certified and have experience as a transporter and/or nursing assistant preferred.
