This position is responsible for defining incorporating QA best practices with a focus on automation for the online marketing division in IT at US Airways. This position requires bringing vision and growth to a heavily used Microsoft Team System environment. This person is an advocate for testing best practices as well as presenting and education the IT community.
Defining policies and practices governing both manual and automated testing Assessing value of automated versus manual testing for particular test cases Organizing and contributing to the conversion of manual test cases to automated test cases where cost effective. Implementation of quality processes with the continuous integration process (unit, functional and performance testing) Implement best practices for Visual Studio Team System Assist and create TFS-Based management reports Drive standards, best practices and education on successful application testing Customizing process templates to meet organizational needs wit a focus on defect triage and resolution Participate in code review with developers Present on standards, new technologies, best practices and patterns. Skills / Requirements
10+ years of experience in a quality assurance capacity, with 5+ years leading quality assurance efforts for medium to large sized projects
Proficient with unit testing frameworks, e.g. NUnit, VSTS, etc Proficient with functional testing frameworks or tools, e.g. FIT, VSTS, Selenium etc Proficient with load testing tools, e.g, VSTS, LoadRunner and methods for incorporating them into continuous integration environments Working knowledge of PCI, SOX and security processes and standards Working knowledge of Microsoft server techniques. Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills Solid verbal, technical and interpersonal skills (presentation and formal documentation) Agile development methodologies; Scrum or XP preferred Ability to acquire working knowledge of new technologies and tools at an accelerated pace.
