U.A. Local 469 of Phoenix, one of the oldest and largest piping trades unions in the Southwest. As an organization for professionals in the plumbing, pipe fitting and steam fitting industries, it maintains more than 2,000 members.

The U.A. Local 469 is recruiting for Apprentices for all of Arizona.

We are offering men and women of all ages the opportunity to get a great job that will train them in a rewarding career! As an Apprentice with Local 469, you have the opportunity to learn one of three trades: Plumbing, Pipefitting, or A/C-Refrigeration.

As an Apprentice, you may perform the following duties:
Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs, as well as, performing preventative maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of plumbing systems or HVAC systems.

To Be Eligible to Apply:
Applicant must have high school diploma or GED
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
Applicant must have a photo I.D. and Social Security Card.
Applicant must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites.

All Applicants must first take an Entrance Examination at Gateway Community College. This exam includes a reading, math, and a feet and inch portion. You may acquire this form by clicking on the link below and printing the referral form or by picking one up at either of the following locations:

Once you have taken the test at Gateway Community College, the testing center sends this referral form back to us.

Applicants will be referred for a drug test in order to be dispatched to work. If the applicant does not show up for the drug test on the day specified or does not pass the drug test, they will be removed from the list and cannot reapply for one year from that date.
