Duties and Responsibilities:
University Services, Building Automation Systems, seeks an Energy Management Specialist. Performs work of a complex nature under general direction for the Central Plant; operates and programs building automation systems; calibrates, replaces and repairs field controllers, temperature/humidity sensors and valves utilizing hand tools (wire strippers, screw drivers, pliers, wrenches, volt amp meter, temperature/humidity calibrator) and power tools (drill); utilizes computer (Johnson Control and Phoenix Control software) to operate plant automation system; answers and dispatches personnel for trouble calls; works in extreme and varying temperatures, restricted movements, confined spaces (tunnels, manholes, vaults) and intense noise; wears personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, face shield, gloves) lifts and carries objects above shoulder up to 60 pounds; works off ladders to download/upload field controls and relocate/install thermostats; drives university vehicle.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM (Call-in/Stand-by duty)

Minimum Qualifications:
Five years experience monitoring, developing and evaluating computerized energy management and control systems; OR Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in: JCI Metasys Extended Architecture; JCI FEC Devices; Phoenix Lab Systems Controls; maintaining/creating databases; energy information systems metering devices troubleshooting/setup/maintenance; customer service. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience in building automation systems programming.

Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license upon employment and maintain throughout employment. This position requires Call-in/Stand-by duty and weekend rotation coverage.
