Job: Laboratory Coordinator

NextCare Urgent Care, one of the largest urgent care chains nationwide is looking for a Laboratory Technician to support Arizona and Texas. The candidate can work out of either Texas or Arizona.

The essential job function for this position will be to ensure that all assigned laboratories are operating safely, efficiently and within all applicable state, federal and accrediting requirements.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES WILL BE:,
•Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
•Maintain accurate records
•Complete work according to laboratory safety protocols
•Ensure assigned labs are in compliance with all applicable state, federal and accrediting requirements
•Provide direction and support to back office staff to ensure safe, effective, accurate laboratory testing
•Setup and organize new clinic laboratories
•Train and mentor back office staff
•Onsite monthly inspections of assigned labs
•Ensure proficiency testing is completed and sent in timely
•Prepare labs for COLA/CLIA inspections
•Review training and reviews provided by leads/managers
•Review Staff credentials for completeness
•Review all technical updates and be sure staff signs off on same

Minimum Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Desired Additional Education: CLA (Certified Laboratory Assistant) certification
Preferred Experience: Experience with moderate level testing in a non-waived CLIA laboratory serving in a leadership role with responsibility for equipment calibration and maintenance, regulatory compliance and staff training.
