Job: Pharmacist - Variable Shift

Phoenix Children's Hospital is the only specialty children's hospital in Arizona and it is poised to become one of the foremost pediatric hospitals in the nation. The hospital is home to the state's largest group of pediatric specialists and sub-specialists. In addition, the hospital continues to evolve its clinical practices and is working with leading local and national research partners to uncover new breakthroughs in pediatric medicine.


Currently a 345 bed facility, new construction plans were unveiled in October 2006 that include the building of two new patient bed towers and expansion in bed capacity and other key programs and services over the course of the next several years. Primary Purpose:


Oversees the daily activities of the medication use process and provides comprehensive Pharmacy services to patients from neonate to young adulthood. Performs the duties of a registered pharmacist as defined by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and Phoenix Children's Hospital. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations as well as proper storage and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:


Current licensure as a Pharmacist either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.


Preferred Qualifications:


Excellent problem solving skills and sound judgment.

Experience in a hospital Pharmacy practice.

Experience with information systems and automated and technical equipment.

Knowledge of drug products, medical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states.

One (1) year previous pediatric patient population experience.
