Our Services: Devereux has a continuum of care for children, adolescents and adults, ranging from: -Residential and day treatment programs -Respite care programs -Hospital inpatient and outpatient settings -Supervised apartments -Foster care homes -Special education day schools -Vocational and pre-vocational training -Child welfare programs Philosophy: Our Philosophy of Care operates under the core principles of Individualized Services; Effective and Accountable Services; and Positive, Behavioral Approaches. Devereux Arizona provides tools for children, adults and families with behavioral health and mental health needs to become successful members of the community. We are recruiting for a full-time THERAPEUTIC HOME SPECIALIST for our Therapeutic Foster Care program based out of the Phoenix office. Once hired, this position requires 4 days of training (paid) and you'll need to be available for ALL days/times to be considered. Upcoming new hire orientation is as scheduled: DECEMBER NEW HIRE ORIENTATION: Mon, 12/7 – Thurs, 12/10: 8:30am-5pm (Also Fri, 12/18, 8:30am-5pm, if your CPR/1st Aid certification is over 1yr old). Job Summary: To support therapeutic home providers in maintaining and delivering high quality behavioral health services to clients who have a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral complications. To license and supervise therapeutic home providers. Professional Skills: *1. Recruitment, Training, Support, and Supervision: Engages in recruitment and licensing activities as needed. Provides supervision and support of families and clients via effective communication skills, training and evaluation. Advocates for clients in placements and family needs by maintaining contact with clients parole officers, probation officers, case managers or other ancillary services. Assists with program development. * 2. Clinical Knowledge: Clinical knowledge of behavioral disorders, treatment plans, clinical assessments and clinical modalities. Ability to facilitate staffings for treatment plan review, coordination of services, etc as applicable. *3. Licensure/Regulations: General knowledge of program components, contractual responsibilities, regulations of licensure mandates, accreditation standards of JCAHO, OBHL and other entities, as applicable. *4. Documentation: Timely and accurate completion of all clinical and administrative reports/documentation. Maintains organized case files in compliance with accreditation standards. Documents case management activities in accordance with Best Practices. *5. Treatment: Takes an active clinical role with the child and the family. Directs clinical interventions within the family, conducts research, provides training and performs clinical interventions as supervised by the Clinical Coordinator, and performs crisis intervention/stabilization activities as necessary. Clinical interventions will include psychosocial rehabilitation, conducting psycho-educational groups, and mentoring activities. Participates in on call responsibilities as scheduled. 6. Other: Performs all other duties as required and assigned by supervisor. Skills / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required. One year work experience in foster care or related field required. Must have reliable transportation to travel throughout Maricopa County. Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards).
