RN - Community Internal Medicine
Date: Oct 31, 2009 Location: Scottsdale, AZ, US Job Posting: 7435 The Tier I Nurse is accountable for the delivery of direct patient care including patient education, the management of telephone triage and supervision of nursing care provided by assistive personnel. Where nursing care is provided, the nursing process of assessing, diagnosing, outcome identification, planning, implementing and evaluating is the basis for care delivered. The Tier I Nurse provides professional nursing care across practice settings and the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The Tier I Nurse supports the community through community involvement and the organization through education, committee work and participation in research. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice (2004), the AAACN Ambulatory Care Nursing Administration and Practice Standards (2004) and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nursing (2001) provide a basis for practice. Department: Community Internal Medicine Qualifications: Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Current Arizona registered nurse licensure required; BSN preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate of completion preferred on hire or required within 30 days and maintains. Minimum of two years previous registered nurse experience in ambulatory and/or acute care settings preferred. Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the clinical and/or research settings. Strong computer skills preferred. Exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills. Work flexible hours during the day to meet work unit and patient care needs. Maintains ACLS and PALS as required by specific units. Maintains specialty certification per unit guidelines. Additional Experience and/or Skills / Requirements
