St Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Clinical Laboratory Animal Veterinarian. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.Provides veterinary care services to a variety of research species.
2.Assists with implementation and oversight of animal care programs.
3.Evaluates compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
4.Assists in research and animal care staff training.
5.Provides consultation and instruction to investigators and staff in animal care and use.
6.May lead and train staff performing related work.
7.Assists in reviewing animal research and teaching proposals.
8.Aids in assuring regulatory compliance for use of animals in biomedical research at SJHMC.
9.May work at the Sun Health Research Institute, Arizona Heart Foundation, Glendale Community College, Midwestern University.

Qualifications:
1.D.V.M. (or equivalent) from an AVMA
- Accredited School of Veterinary Medicine.
2.License to practice in at least one state within the U.S.
3.Previous training and /or experience in laboratory animal medicine.
4.ACLAM Diplomat or board-eligible candidates are preferred.
